THE TASTE OF THINGS – LA PASSION DE DODIN BOUFFAND

The two January Screenings Took Place and Were Both Sold Out

The Taste Of Things is shortlisted in the International Movie category by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the upcoming 96th Oscars ceremony

1885. Peerless cook Eugenie has worked for the famous gourmet Dodin for the last 20 years. As time went by, the practice of gastronomy and mutual admiration turned into a romantic relationship.
Their association gives rise to dishes, one more delicious than the next, that confound even the world’s most illustrious chefs. But Eugenie is fond of her freedom and has never wanted to marry Dodin. So, he decides to do something he has never done before: cook for her.

The Taste of Things, featuring the reunion of Juliette Binoche, an Oscar winner for The English Patient in 1997, and Benoît Magimel, is an impassioned celebration of French gastronomy and savoir-faire. The film seamlessly intertwines a shared appreciation for the culinary arts with a poignant love story.

Directed by Trần Anh Hùng, The Taste of Things marks his seventh feature and earned him the esteemed Best Director award at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, where the movie had its world premiere.
